From New York to
Dubai and down to Lagos, revelers welcomed 2014 with extravagant fireworks
displays and giant street parties.
In Lagos Nigeria, droves of people turned up
for the biggest New Years Eve party in Africa; The Lagos countdown show, at the
Barbeach. The show which paraded over
60 A- list Artist in Nigeria, kept the audience screaming for more well into the morning of January 1st 2014.

As the New Year
was ushered in, a massive fireworks display lit up the sky around the bar beach
leaving the audience with a “wow” expression on their faces. The audience was thrilled to see such a
glamorous display of firework, described as a first of its kind by many who
witnessed it.
The Lagos Countdown which seeks to
institute an enduring crossover tradition signifying the end of one year and
the celebration of the beginning of another in a splendid fashion is the
brainchild of Lagos
State Governor, Mr
Babatunde Fashola (SAN) and is organised on
behalf of the state government by the Lagos State Signage and
Advertisement Agency (LASAA).
