During the unveiling, celebrities present had some interesting things to say to Lagosians concerning Lagos Countdown. Below are quotes from Don Jazzy, 2face and Funke Akindele.

Funke Akindele

The only Suliat from Ayetoro, in her element, encouraged Lagosians to come and have fun during the countdown.

She said, “I am so happy to be part of this and I want to see what the new bar beach would look like. Let’s have fun. Let’s end the year happy. Keep all your worries away and enjoy like a bigz girl and a bigz boy. Let’s go there.”

‘Our daddy’, the new appellation recently bestowed on him on Instagram by Don Jazzy, said everyone should come out to experience a whole new level of entertainment. He started and ended his message to Lagosians with ‘everybody come out’. If tubaba says ‘everyone come out’ twice, you should know by now Lagos Countdown ‘no be small thing’.

He said, “Everybody come out. This another whole new level of entertainment. Lagos state is always at the top of the game when it comes to stuffs like this. So once again Lagos state kudos. Respect. Everyone come out.”

Mavins Numero Uno’s message to you guys is simple; ‘turn up’ for Lagos Countdown.

He said, “I am really excited. I wasn't part of this last year so I am excited I am part of it (Lagos Countdown) this year. So everyone turn up. No long thing.”
