SKUKI RELEASES REMIX FOR LAGOS COUNTDOWN 2013
Lagos based Afro hip hop duo Skuki has
dropped a remix of a previously released single to commemorate the
2013 Lagos Countdown. Titled ''Happy New Year'' the new single along with the
obligatory video, hit the airwaves on Sunday 1 December 2014.
Speaking on this development, Skuki said: ''The single is perhaps the most
appropriate song for the new year 2014 and we intend to perform it at the Lagos
Countdown''.

One of the artistes selected to perform at this year Lagos Countdown, Iyanya, has promised to give a good account of himself through his musical prowess come 31st of December.
The Kukere crooner, while visiting the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) head office, encouraged his fans to come to the bar beach on New Year's eve in order to see him perform some his hit tracks.

Nigeria Breweries to set up beer village for Lagos Countdown
Title sponsor for the Lagos Countdown, Nigeria Breweries, will be setting up a beer village for its premium brand, Star Lager beer for the entire duration of the festival.
This was revealed by the representative of Nigeria Breweries, Mr Edem Vindah, during a press briefing for the unveiling of this year’s Lagos Countdown

It was a night an evening of Glamour as activities for this year's Lagos Countdown kicked off in earnest on Friday November 15th 2013 with a press conference at the LASAA head office to unveil the event sponsors as well as the countdown ambassadors.
Among the countdown sponsors are Nigeria Breweries Plc, Zenith Bank, Airtel, Mikano, Pepsi, Forte oil, Dangote group and ICSL.
Ambassadors for this years event are Michael Collins (Don Jazzy) and Funke Akindele (Jenifaa)
It was an evening of fun and good music as several goodwill messages from the sponsors and ambassadors were received.

The official celebration of the 2012 Lagos Countdown, a celebration of the end of one year and beginning of another which began on Thursday, December 20, with Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, officially declaring it open climaxed with a party at the Eko Atlantic City on Ahmadu Bello Way through the Bar Beach, stretching onto Eko Atlantic Office.
The event, though initially perceived by many as a white elephant project, had a special significance for the Eko Atlantic City particularly because all the land that was washed away by the ocean over 50 years ago is now being reclaimed.
